Nope , my eyes are still functioning and my reading capability is still the same . I read it . The point is we arent talking about the other gernes . We are talking about metal . And metal music so glorious to overwhelm the other gernes . We are talking about people joining us , about everyone being able to , not just a bunch of guys dressed in leather outfits .
I would like it . Having metal regarded as something natural and not a cult . Thats not its purpose ... we are talking about music and not a political phenomenon .

When did I say anything about needing specific requirements in order to be a metal fan?

Then why you wouldnt like our music to be popular and accepted by everyone ?

Those are two completely different things, when I say that I don't want the music to be extremely popular/accessible I don't mean that there should be restrictions on who likes the genre and who doesn't.

If, hypothetically, metal WERE to gain popularity, it would have to embrace elements that made it more accessible than it already is, meaning the music would take a turn for the worse. The "cult appeal" of metal is as much a part of the metal aesthetic as anything- only those who truly are drawn to metal and Wish to seek it out will be exposed to it, because its appeal is very specific and that's damn well the way it should be and the way it should stay.

Its still aesthetics . Not music . If you mean that to become a metalhead you have to undergo a certain procedure , involving darkening your attitude and associating only with your metal brothers/sisters , i disagree completely , because NoNe of most metal-involved men and women i encountered , neither myself had to undergo it .
If on the other hand you mean that our music includes meanings difficult for others to comprehend , or accept ,like the ease with which we Treat death , Suicide , religion , afterlife , suicides , orgies , massacres , or other Ideas or events , thats the reason why they should come with us . We dont talk about them with ease because we look Down on them , but because our music gives us the ability not to fear them , or dismiss them with Disgust , but be able to see them for what they are . Human actions and events . That acceptance doesnt come instandly . But its created by the constant contact we have with our music .
As for the start of the comment , and the elements it would have to embrace , i didnt say i want to see that . I was and am talking for a crowd , that would accept metal the same way me and you do . well...as the current metalheads do .

Why are you guys think you are special just for being metalheads is Beyond my understanding .
You can deny it , but thats the only reasonable explanation . If we are creating a cult to keep it among us , is only because we think the others arent good enough to be part of it .

If you accept that metal is a movement with the objective to change how people think , okay , The Cult attitude can seperate the believers . But if its just....music , even if glorious...just music , the i see no reason for The Cult existance .
