I actually prefer Dead as he was in the band Morbid. And of course he was awesome in studio. I personally don't think he's that great live... at least on Live in Leipzig. You can hear him run out of breath often and his Voice cracks all over the place. Although his vocal performance is way better on Live in Zeitz. Have you heard that album?

Yeah his vocals were also awesome when he was in Morbid. And no,I didn't listen to Live in Zeitz..but I'll listen today,I thought Maniac was doing vocals on it.

Nope, Live in Zeitz was recorded in '90, and I think that's the year Dead joined Mayhem. His vocals are Far more Brutal and Aggressive in Zeitz than on Leipzig.

Dead joined in '88. And yeah his vocals sound very Aggressive on this record. Also the album is really awesome,there's a special place In Heaven (or hell?) for people who make bootlegs like this.

Oh, I didn't realize he joined that early, but it makes sense. For sure, it's an interesting bootleg. I Wish it got the same love as Dawn of The Black Hearts!
