I came across a few good Asian bands lately, not extremely good but noteworthy:

Humiliation from Malaysia



They play old-school shit kinda like Asphyx or Bolt Thrower.

Soul Devour from Singapore



Also old-school Death Metal, more a la Morbid Angel for this one.

Butcher ABC from Japan... More Goregrind than pure DM but I guess they'd fit in.



More or less obvious Allegiance to Carcass.

WTN from Singapore, signed on Razorback Recordings



Gory DM a la Carcass, Exhumed.

Deadly Spawn from Japan with a member from Intestine Baalism



OSDM as well with a few hints at melody.

except Butcher ABC i dont even heard about those. but the butchered at birth day EP is quite good shit. i like it. not sure if they ever released a full lenght album yet.

Looks like the "split/EP" only kind of bands. I got their split with General Surgery as well but it's not quite as good as Butchered...

oh really? i was looking for this split as well. i really like general surgery. they were really great at the death feast open air i think 2 years ago.

i really like the song of WTN from singapore. do you have an album of them? or do you know about the other songs?

General Surgery Kick serious ass. They always have since 1991! But I have to admit I like their first LP (Left Hand Pathology) than their latest which is more like doing the same thing minus the surprise. Same result for the split with Butcher ABC where both bands kinda failed to impress.

From WTN, I only know Rotting in Pestilence, but I see they got a split with Squash Bowels, another fine band. It's good Gory Death but it's not excellent. I mean they take bits from Carcass and Impetigo, but it's not like mindblowing.

I listened to a band a long time ago called Frosty Eve, and at the time they only had one EP out. I liked it quite a bit, but I heard from a lot of people that the band rips off a lot of other riffs. I didn't recognize any of the riffs I heard, so I don't know for sure, but I did like what I heard from them,

Narjahanam - These guys make some folkish Brutal death/black stuff. They are from Bahrain, very good listen they are.
