The French thrash death metal band Substans was founded in 2003. After a debut EP in 2005, the arrival of a new drummer and a second guitarist allows the team to enrich his music. More intense and melodic compositions lead to a second record in 2007 and live performances. After several lineup changes, Substans reinvents itself. Jeremie (vocals) and La Bochariz (guitar) recruited three motivated musicians for a more technical and ambitious project influenced by the New Wave of American Heavy Metal. The end of 2013 saw the release of a new EP, Becoming, available in both physical and digital versions. Substans is now willing to share his new material anywhere anytime on stage.

Substans’ members also play in the following bands : Asthenie, Attila Superstar, Stabwound, Tetchiot Krov, Warkult and Yuck.
