Biografie : Hell N'Diesel

HELL N' DIESEL was formed in 1999 by five young kids in Freak City, a place in the middle of
nowhere in Sweden.
There was nothing to do but to drink or fight, so the guys spent all their time playing music, determined
to achieve world domination.
Hell N' Diesel's musical evolution started as a seed growing in the soil of metal; black, heavy and hard.
But the guys couldn't fight the influences from the great bands that had rocked their cradles (Skid
Row, Guns N' Roses and Mötley Crüe), and soon the sound of Hell N' Diesel was there -
fire starting heavy rock n' roll.
EVIL (vocals), SLEDGE (guitars), MAXX WHYTE (guitars), SUDDEN (bass) and BLANCO (drums)
played any venue that would let them in, and then some more. The word started spreading.
In 2002 the small label Shuffle Recordings/Pristine Music released their first CD Asphalt Supreme, a
six track record that contained an early version of Strap On Your Leather, Ten $ Ride, Devil's Path,
Blame It All On Me, Angel and Lickin' My Wounds. The EP made some noise in the rock n' roll
underground, let the band in to the clubs and on national radio in Sweden.
A year later the same label released the three track single Tears for the Wicked, and the word of Hell
N' Diesel travelled even further out in the outskirts of heavy rock fans in Europe.
Hell N' Diesel were invited to tour in Germany in 2004, with fellow Swedes Sparzanza and German
Duster 69. They played the cities of Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Hannover and Osnabrück and the
response was amazing.
Another tour in Germany was booked for 2005, but guitar master Sir Sledge sadly broke his arm one
crazy night under the influence, so they had to cancel and passed the dates on to Babylon Bombs.
In January 2006 Hell N' Diesel signed a world wide record deal with Smilodon Records.
Later the same year Hell N' Diesel performed at the opening of the European Championships of
Athletics in Gothenburg, and festivals like Swedish Metal Xpo and Metal Town, and in the winter of
2006 they started recording their debut full length album.
Hell N' Diesel spent many hours working in Studio 8, Blanco Studio and in The Panic Room Studio
with co-producer Thomas “Plec” Johansson. In spite of strange incidents, like the mysterious moving
of Blanco's drums, and the sudden and unexpected visit from Lordi (all of which can be viewed on
YouTube), Passion for Power was finally ready in June 2007.
Passion for Power was released in 14 European countries during the fall of 2007 and has made rock
fans all over the world begin to hope for a new era of real rock. The first single Sweet Sister was
heavily played by radio, DJs and featured on cover mount CD of Classic Rock Magazine.
