Biografie : Dissension (AUS)

Formed in the southland of Australia, Dissension established their musical roots in the midst of the year 1999. Basing their sound in the extreme metal scene the band quickly found members and grew into a full 6 member line up. During this short time Dissension's sound formed to an extremity that was quickly noticed amongst the scene and a string of performances soon followed which gave the band firm ground to stand on.

It was in 2000 that the band entered the studio for the first time to record their self titled Promotional recording. Dissension's "Dissension" CD was distributed to a small number of people so the band could judge feedback, and with the strength of the songs, the recording quickly gained popularity.

With more and more live appearances under their belts, Dissension set aside time to compose more songs and prepare for a new release.

It was in early 2004 that Dissension made plans to record their first EP and also saw the departure of the their original singer. To fill in on vocal duties Dissension sought their friend and fellow musician L. Saalah and after 3 weeks in the studio the EP "Architects of Modern Lies' was born.

Following the recording, L. Saalah was asked to permanently complete the line up and to date the band is currently underway promoting the EP.
