Also known as SOMA, Stephen O'Malley was born on July 15, 1974. He is a musician who specializes in working with sludge/drone/doom metal bands, including Teeth Of Lions Rule The Divine, Lotus Eaters, KTL, Burning Witch, and many more. However, his most notable project would be the drone band Sunn O))), which he had formed back in 1998 with Greg Anderson. In all of his works, he plays the guitar, bass, and also specializes in electronic effects and programming. He is also a graphic artist, and has designed artwork for bands such as Emperor and Boris.
