Galder is a founding member of Old Man's Child. He started up the band in 1993 together with guitarist Jardar (who has participated on all OMC releases, except for "Ill-natured Spiritual Invasion" and "Vermin") and drummer Tjodalv (Susperia, ex. Dimmu Borgir). These days Galder is the undisputed leader and sole creative force of the band. Besides his commitment to his own band, he is also involved in fellow Norwegian black metal band Dimmu Borgir where he filled a vacant spot as guitar player in 2000. Galder is a multi-instrumentalist, usually he is taking care of the vocals and guitars, but he is no stranger to doing it all by himself if necessary. Except for the drums, for which he has been using some of the most renowned drummers of the scene. Trivia: Used to call himself Grusom instead of Galder in the early days of the band, but he got tired of it because it was just for fun, and he don't like fun... at least according to an old interview with the man himself...
