within 3 months me and my friend got our hands on Metalica, Exciter, Venom, Slayer, and motorhead.  it was '83, and we jumped in hard and never looked back.  Well, I didnt.  I think my friend's wife got him into country.   She keeps his balls in her little hand bag

Ride The Lightning got me into metal music but at that time (about 12 or 13 years old) I didn't even know what "Thrash Metal" was. My passion for Extreme metal wasn't awakened till I heard Kreator for the first time, I beleive it was the song "Violent Revolution". Not long after I bought a truck load of albums off the internet (Pleasure To Kill included) because where I live you can't find metal CD's in any shops apart from gay Metalcore and nu-metal bands. 5 years later, here I am.

Megadeth Rust In Peace   First time I heard Holy Wars, I was absolutely amazed.  I then went on to Hangar 18 and Take No Prisoners, and I just thought it was the best thing I have ever heard.
