I absolutely love some of the bands that fall under this genre. Stuff like Skepticism, Shape Of Despair, Colosseum, Wormphlegm, Tyranny, Longing For Dawn, Septic Mind, Until Death Overtakes Me, Ahab and to a lesser degree (In terms of their 'Funeral Doom' classification) Mare Infinitum, Woods Of Belial and Dolorian. Dolorian especially, as they are responsible for one of my favorite Doom Metal album ever recorded ("Voidwards").
