Un nouveau tribute à Iron Maiden vient de sortir dans les bacs. Ce n'est pas un éniéme tribute métal ou rock à la Vierge de Fer, mais, un album hommage trés surprenant, rassemblant aussi bien des reprises à la façon de Simon & Garfunkel, AC/DC, Motörhead, que des morceaux de nos anglais préférés repris à la sauce jazz, funk ou bossa-nova. Bref, un tribute novateur, pas désagréable, qui apporte de la fraîcheur aux innombrables tributes qui ont innondés le marché et n'ayant que peu d'intérêt pour le fan.

A Different Kind Of IRON MAIDEN Tribute: 'Food For Thought' - June 13, 2005 "Food For Thought" is the name of a new IRON MAIDEN album being released on July 9. If IRON MAIDEN were jazz, MOTÖRHEAD or SIMON AND GARFUNKEL, what would they sound like? Or if they were bossanova, funk, AC/DC or played by the camping fire? The answers to those questions can be found on "Food for Thought". Masterminds behind the project are Swedes Henrik Johansson and Mattias Reinholdsson, who were previously in the now-defunct BOOK OF HOURS. Assisting them on the compilation are L-G Petrov (ENTOMBED), Björn Flodkvist (ENTER THE HUNT, ex-CANDLEMASS, GONE), Chris Dale (SACK TRICK, BRUCE DICKINSON), Bo Lindberg (HOVEN DROVEN) and Marko Manninen (ALAMAAILMAN VASARAT), among others. Even IRON MAIDEN's own bodyguard Peter Lokrantz is featured. Talented friends have helped out by playing key harp, banjo, accordion, cello and guitar, where needed.
