Carnivora was founded in 1999 by Tore Moren. His ambition was to make a band with a different sound; a combination of raw metal, skilled musicianship and great melodies.


The line-up on the first album, "Judas", featured Michael Eriksen ( Circus Maximus)- vocals, Tore Moren - guitars, Bjarne Torus - bass and Hellamer( Mayhem, Arcturus, Winds) - drums. Guest appearances on the record included Roni Le Tekro (TNT, Espen Toro (Circus Maximus)and Nils K. Rue (Pagans Mind).
After a short while, Hellammer had to live the band due to commitment to his other bands, and was then replaced by Truls Haugen (Circus Maximus). In order to recreate the guitar-arrangements in a live setting, they also hired a second guitar-player, Rune Torgersen.


Due to a changed musical expression, the band soon went on to record their second album with a new singer, Eirik Barslet. This is a hard working band with a burning ambition to become a household name in todays melodic metal scene.
