1. Borknagar - True North. Ce groupe est juste impressionnant. Impossible de trouver un mauvais album dans leur discographie. Alors certes c'est extrêment prog, mais c'est juste magnifique !
2. Obsequiae - The Palms of Sorrowed Kings. Nombreux sont les groupes à se la jouer "médévial", aucun n'arrive à la cheville d'Obsequiae pour moi.
3. Imperium Dekadenz - When We Are Forgotten. Pour moi le meilleur album des Allemands. Superbes ambiances froides et mélodiques.
4. Arkona - Age of Capricorn. Lunaris m'avait scotché, celui-ci est tout aussi bon.
5. Nordjevel - Necrogenesis. Moins épique et plus rentre-dedans que son prédécesseur, on se rapproche plus d'un black brutal à la suédoise. Parfaitement exécuté et efficace.
6. Mgla - Age of Excuse. Pas la bombe que j'espérais, mais difficile de succéder à Exercises in Futility. Très bon disque néanmoins.
7. Véhémence - Par le Sang Versé. Meilleure sortie française de l'année pour moi. Un black médiéval épique fort sympathique. A suivre de près.
8. Windswept - The Onlooker. Fan ultime de Drudkh, c'est pour moi la meilleure sortie de Saenko depuis pas mal d'années, et rien que pour ça il mérite une place dans mon top.
9. Aegrus - In Manus Satanas. Un groupe que je ne connaissais pas. Très bonne sortie.
10. Fen - The Dead Light. Un black progressif et atmosphérique de très bonne facture.
Auraient mérité une place :
Blut Aus Nord; The Great Old Ones ; Avslut ; Nornir; Vargrav.
