Death Metal debut of 2007 and every
member of
Sexcrement must have an IQ of fucking 160 to pull off
something so retardedly brilliant. This is better than 90% of death
metal out there without a doubt and I'm amazed that more people aren't
listening to it.
Sexcrement plays pure
Death Metal that's totally, totally focused on
groove. It's not slam death or stereotypical brutal death, it's just
straightforward
Death Metal with groove riff after amazing groove riff.
The structures of the songs are all essentially the same, using fast,
somewhat technical tremolo riffs to build tension that gets released by
AMAZING oldschool DM grooves. A sloppy, disgusting high/low dual vocal
attack just adds to the perfection, slathered all over the great music
like so much
Repulsive icing. The production's incredibly clear and
heavy, drums are played perfectly, what else is there to ask for?
There's honest to
GOD maybe two moments on this disc that aren't
totally amazing and the rest is just absolutely great.
Sexcrement has a
fucking monopoly on amazing, syncopated groove sections that are
memorable and command one to headbang. There's nothing to even say
about it, it's an incredibly simple album with just one idea behind it:
make amazing grooves that are heavier than a rhino's scrotum and just
slap the listener in the face with them over and over and over for half
an hour.
Just buy it, there's nothing to even think about it. If you like death
metal, if you like grooves, if you like good music, just get it. It's
amazing, stupid glory that the whole
Death Metal scene could learn
