I have seen that people on other topics have said that they have written lyrics. I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of lyrics you people have written. Basically, if you can, post lyrics that you have written.

I made this because I got pissed off once... by what you can see, I must of been pretty pissed off when I made this.

A Symphony For Those Left Behind

Why have we existed?
We fear our brethren for living
Hold high a Chalice of Blood
As it gushes from your Heart

Reigning in a world of anarchy
Speak to me, tell me all you know, but you’ll never see
What if we live in dimensional scars?
Surrounded by Danger and fear afar, foretelling our ends
Through space and time, we’ll find
A Requiem, a symphony, for those left behind

Now hear us and feed us
We beg for your Blood
Now walk by us, see our scars
Silently tearing us apart

Now see us and Kill us
Our wills are yours now
Now chant it, the words of lie
Hear your peasants’ Merciless cries

Reigning in a world of anarchy
Speak to me, tell me all you know, but you’ll never see
What if we live in dimensional scars?
Surrounded by Danger and fear afar, foretelling our ends
Through space and time, we’ll find
A Requiem, a symphony, for those left behind

And more and more… and more and more… and so it goes on
The cycle continues with the race Dying, within this symphony of life
We were made to live in the light, not to live in the dark
And so it is done, let it be done, let the Hellfire feed its nation

Radiant suns glare and Burn
The once alive humanity
The once golden ones
Forever the demons eat at your souls
Radiant suns glare and Burn
A holiest of hope gone to the fires
Hatred the Martyr of our people
Our love is life turned to suicide
Radiant suns glare and Burn
Over the lessons, we couldn’t learn

Tyrannical growls from the quietest of dreamer, and human of love
The Vile convert the pure, from Darkness rides the cure
Our devastation is The Answer, seven plagues from the skies
Rain Down from there to Kill us all, for our sins and our salvation
We bring on genocide to the Heavens, showing our mercilessness
We reward the dead, so we can taunt the living with Pain and deceiving
The Legion of GOD is a plague for our world, we must not Survive
The Power and Darkness is in us once more…

This is a symphony for those left behind
By the Vile demons known as humanity
But we are everything but peaceful?
How are we human, but never humane?

Drain this world, this world of anarchy, so The Prophecy prevails
Speak unto all for all that you know, but you’ll never Survive
A newborn Wraith for our nation, send it to the Heavens to Die
The army of us is upon the battle, with the light gaining the time
For love is love, and death is death
Greed and pride is the fuels of our lives
Instead of solitude, Justice and giving
We give ourselves to The Darkness
And slowly fade away, we are left behind

We are humans, Nothing more
Taking away all that is living
And devouring it until it’s gone
But what have we done but just survived?
What has made us deprived?

Reigning in a world of anarchy
Speak to me, tell me all you know, but you’ll never see
What if we live in dimensional scars?
Surrounded by Danger and fear afar, foretelling our ends
Through space and time, we’ll find
A Requiem, a symphony, for those left behind

A Funeral, a graveyard for those left to Die

This was meant to be a poem, but I'm changing it a bit and putting it to music. So...lyrics. Ja.

"Dogma"

There is no Redemption,
not for me;
I am the Christ
you left upon the Cross,
nailed to your contempt.

I am the Defiled image
of dogmatic rites
that bores into eyes
and abacinates.

Your GOD is dead
and the tide is rising;
Cling to your holy tomes
and pray for shore.

I am the risen Christ
who will destroy
this land and you
who walk the barren desert.

There is no Redemption,
not for me;
I am the holy trinity
of me myself and I
that you have desecrated.

I will destroy
these holy lands;
Raze your temples
to the Scorched Earth
of my fury.

I am the scourge
that you must face;
I am the Apocalypse
thundering the plains
and slaughtering those
who are deemed unworthy.

I have descended
this feeble Cross
upon those who Nailed
my aching frame
to the wood of blasphemy.

I will descend,
and I will destroy;
Ego sum plaga vos visio.

(ego sum plaga vos visio Means "I am the scourge you must face")

Actually, there's a lyrics thread in the musicians' forum. FYI. I forget when I posted. :P

Really? Damn. Epic lyrics though.

Well since I don't know how to move topics... I'll stay here.

Yup, but it was never used much. Thank you. As for living in dimensional scars? I think the Universe is wounded enough for that to be plausible. Man is certainly capable of it, lol.

Friday 20 August 2010 - 21:30:21
What if we live in dimensional scars? = what if the Universe we live in is just a unwanted place because of humanity. Like a scar. It used to be fine, but we created Bloodshed which tore open the fabric of this universe. Thus creating the scar mentioned.

Basically, humanity alone has made this Universe we live in Vile and dark.

What genre would you associate your lyrics with?
Mine would be avant-garde black metal.

That's what I meant when I said man was capable of it, making the Universe "vile and dark". Good concept, I must say.

It depends on the song, actually. I write more than just metal, mainly Death Metal in my case. I also write some guitar for rock, and music and lyrics for other genres. Currently I've developed a love of blues guitar. I also write kind of orchestral pieces. I like to shift around. Expand my horizons, I suppose. =p

honestly as far as humankind actually impacting the Universe sounds kinda hard to grasp for me, we can fuck up our own planet pretty well, but we probably won't Survive long enough to fuck up our galaxy, let alone the entire Universe0

I know you said that, I just like to over-analyze things. I can only sing, sadly, I may start to play guitar though.

Good point Demog.
