i didnt mean physical expreriments.there're philosofic&artistic vews on this theme.if u try to paint a black item,u'll need all the colors to do that.that's about every color ,too,but black's  influenced by the surrounding more than others.&think about Darkness,"including"everything inside itself0
 in fact,white is also influenced on by colors,but...not in its depth,like black,"swallowing"colors of rainbow...on the other hand,white's reflectin,as u know...heh,that physics again...0

I believe all theories are correct, in a way. This is my shared opinion:

If you mix all colours of the Rainbow within a Prism you get white, yes, but you also need light to get this result;
Black, more correct than saying that it's the "absence of colours", it's the "absence of light". It happens when no visible light reaches the eye. The colour absorbs all light and doesn't reflect it. That's the reason why you feel your clothes almost burning your skin in a sunny day if you're dressed in black. As you know already, the energy of the light gets converted in other forms of energy, usually heat;
Brown is a tertiary colour, because it includes almost all colours (including secondary colours), in more or less quantity, in combination with average light.
