In Flames -
Lunar Strain Not that great of an album in all honesty. This is In Flames' only full-on
Death Metal record, but it doesn't really work that well. It has a lot of folk influence in it, largely in the form of interludes and some of the harmonies, and honestly the folk is probably the best part of the record. The more straight up
Death Metal songs
Suffer from mediocre riffs and really jumbled, disorganized song structures. Mikael Stanne's vocals aren't helping out at all; I remember he sounded a lot better with Dark Tranqullity.
EDIT: The last three songs pick up pretty nicely, admittedly.
