Wellshot was formed in January 2012 after the break up of local bands Tolerance for Tragedy and Mind Virus. Mike Allen (drums) placed an ADD on craigslist.org and was replied by Raul Logan (guitars) who contacted Craig (vocals). After several shifts in bass players, Kevin “Goat” Sturgeon took over bass duties permanently. Wellshot’s music has been described as old school thrash (Exodus,Testament) with some groove oriented breakdowns (Lamb Of God, Pantera, Fight), with lots of high energy and dynamics. Wellshot has played with several national acts (King Conquerer, Wretched, Ghost of War and others) and has participated in Shredfest 3, Project Independent, and Hugs and Handshakes festival, and others. Fans have praised their on-stage chemistry, musicianship and overall great performances. At present time Wellshot is in the studio recording its debut album, but has free demo recordings available for the fans. Wellshot can be heard and seen on Facebook, Reverbnation, Unsigned talent and Youtube, Twitter websites as also in local MD/DC (venues in a near future).
