man, i think this is the first thread i posted on SOM, damn.
Anyway, i've been following the whole movie fiasco, and apparently the Twilight kid's decided to back Down from the role, but they're still thinking about makin the movie, hopefully they'll just can this whole awful idea.

Actually, I think this movie would be great for a laugh. The "spirit" of the underground Black Metal is long gone, to be honest. There are some idiots like Nargaroth that grasp onto it to say it's still alive, but it isn't. Only the musical style remains.

Not that it's 100% a bad thing.

yeah, Black Metal has sort of lost it's inner circle, and gained a more international cult following, but the last thing i'd wanna see is all the kids who are obsessesed with all this vampire horseshit to suddenly start listening to Darkthrone, and Burzum as a result of this movie

hmmm...the first time i heard this movie to be out but anyways here is my take...I am agreeing into banning the whole movie for being aired...I not sure if you have heard a Japanese movie name Detroit Metal City....well it has a similar intent of showcasing death metal...it is meant to be a joke...after the movie was aired...my friends was asking me is Death Metal really was what the movie/manga(Japanese Comics) depict...The vocalist saying the F word many times in a second etc...they also were listening to "metalised" or Nu Metal Japanese pop music and they are saying they are listening to death metal...while I was there the only metalhead telling them that isn't Heavy Metal at all...and they snub at me and saying that it is because it is being showed in the movie...hiax...while there is also a case of someone wearing the characters makeup and make a Mockery out of death metal...after telling so many stories...my point is do not make this movie...it will do 2 things...first it will worsen The Black metal scene and secondly it will also make Black Metal looks like a gay fag...i would rather people call me satanist and not let people think that pop music is black metal....do not let the movie Kill black metal....just like how they are killing death..

Come on guys, be good sport... Black Metal doesn't need a movie to make fun of itself... Whenever I listen to Dimmu Borgir (which happens once every three years) I always feel like Bursting into laughs... This'll just put video on audio... I just can't wait!

Real fans of real Black Metal know where the good bands are, others... well... others think they know. Just letting you know that people buying from distros/mailorders or even from the bands are still out there even if they're outnumbered by people downloading shit. I'm not against downloading but seriously you can't call yourself a Black Metal fan if you do that...

It could be a great movie , I'll probably watch it as if it were The Black Metal version of Spinal Tap.

well i have a Hard Time to describe to my friends that it isnt metal....just too tired to explain to them...i have even people telling me that i listen too Extreme Death Metal when i showed them the real Death Metal after they watched the movie
