Day 1 of CIM is over and day 2 begins in roughly 6 hours, got to meet and talk with Shaun from Putrid fuckin pile, gotta get a picture taken with him today, dude's cool as hell. Also met Shawn Whitaker from Viral Load/Insidious Descrepancy. Blasphemer, Cardiac Arrest, and Putrid Pile were definitely the best bands that played yesterday, I was so tired by the time Acheron came on that I just sat in the bleachers with all the pot smokers
Nunslaughter, Exhumed, Gravehill, and a Ton of other Killer bands are playin today I'm gonna try and bring this stupid itouch thing with me and get some photos so it doesn't appear as if I'm bullshitting this whole story

The enslaved/Alcest show was a huge letdown. I was overall disappointed by the concert. Oh well, there's waay better bands I'm gonna be seein in a few weeks. The local band was actually probly 2nd best band of the night, despite how goofy they all looked, one of the guys had a dreadlock mullet and a fanny pack and their singer was some overweight chick that had like an anti-mullet and did the most half-assed headbanging I've ever seen. Then some fuckin junious band came out, fucking terrible. They were like a hipster sludgy, dronecore, ambient, shitcore band... My GOD, I don't even know how they got on the bill "oh, Ghost can't play, hey, instead of booking like, an actual metal band to replace em, let's get some snarky scene twats to replace em." I was surrounded by a sea of 20-something year olds with their scene beards and black caps and skinny pants... Before I go off any further on how GOD awful that was, I gotta say even though I don't really like Enslaved, they put on a great live show, Kjetil and Ivar were so cool throughout the entire show, taking requests from the crowd and stuff like that.

So that's what it's called. I just don't get how they got on a tour with metal bands... I dunno who the Hell thought that they'd be a decent replacement for Ghost, but they were wrong definitely drew in the hipster crowd though. I couldn't take 2 steps in any direction without bumping into some flannel wearing scene bearded douche. That shit pissed me off

They were probably there because of Alcest, who aren't necessarily metal either.
