In my opinion the Scandinavian countries produce the best Power Metal bands, and possible the best Metal bands full stop.

yeah, i gotta agree, Sabaton is probly my favorite, and Hammerfall's pretty awesome too. and Germany's my second pick. they have Gamma Ray Running Wild, Sacred Steel and Mystic Prophecy. one "power metal" band i never quite understood was Mercenary. i've listened to em before... and really didn't like em

I say...Germany! think Helloween, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, Running Wild, Axel Rudi Pell, Stormwitch, Edguy etc

As for scandinavian countries, it's a tie between Finland and Sweden,
However Italy, Spain, Brazil and the US have a lot of good Power Metal bands as well...

Yeah, I think you can't really say which land has the best - all of them have some very good ones - and I agree with the people before me also Germany has good ones. Any way Sinergy is my favourite power-metal-band.
