A few bands. Iron Maiden > Death/Obituary > Carcass > Tool

Chronological order, that is, and with the exception of non-metal bands.

Machine Head really helped me. Hence the "Imperium" tattoo near Old scars.

"Poison" was your introduction to "metal"? That IS NOT metal in any way, shape or form. Geez... that's horrible.0

Iron Maiden really got me into metal. Then after some time I discovered more Extreme metal like Children Of Bodom and In Flames. And then even more Extreme metal like Behemoth and Nile.

I don't want to criticize your choices. They're yours.

I don't think though that CoB or I Flames play 'extreme' metal. Actually, I'm pretty sure about this.

And there are bands Out there way way more Extreme than Behemoth and Nile. Maybe you're not looking after such music but there are bands that make Nile or Behemoth sound like nursery rhymes when compared to them.

Maybe they are not "extreme" but they are still "extremer than maiden.

Well, for CoB and In Flames, I don't believe they're more Extreme than Iron Maiden, well not any longer. Killers or Iron Maiden (the album) seem to me more Extreme than any recent release of CoB or In Flames.

Of course Behemoth and Nile are.
