Hello,
I'd like to introduce to you the following new artist/album:
Produced, written, recorded, performed, edited, mastered by Selikal (Fernando del Pueyo).
This album is Selikal's first LP in this new rebirth, because Selikal has been active one way or another since 1997 and had former punk, afterpunk and experimental bands, like Raskaipika (cult punk band from Spain). Now, this project has been more defined as a gothic rock
Dark Metal project.
However, Selikal's nature is change and freedom, so this album EXEGESIS pays many well-deserved tributes to Selikal's musical influences, always dressed in a versatile and original style. This album talks (both music and lyrics) about the Exegesis del Clavo, which is a personal philosophy of life through a reinterpretation of suffering. They are still emotions and meditations that many of us experience.
Selikal's influences are many and very broad, embracing many genres and artists, but specifically for this dark album and although it comes mainly from deep personal views, it has been inspired by some of Selikal's beloved classics of dark rock, with a range from Last Rites and Nephilim to The Doors, passing through Christian Death, The Cure, Stone Temple Pilots, Deicide, Fields of the Nephilim, Sisters of Mercy, New Model Army... as well as an endless number of metal influences that you may or may not find as if they were badges on a very personalized leather jacket. Some of these influences are very hidden or subtle hints.
I hope you like it, and if you do, please, add to playlist, follow, share. Thanks for the attention.
