I like it, probably because
Rob Zombie is the director. He pulls off the creepy factor pretty well, for example, in the way Michael Myers was portrayed in the 2007 version of
Halloween, also directed by Zombie.
The movie was pretty good solely evaluating the characteristics and parts of a horror film. In addition, the movie also presented some suspenseful, surprising parts.
Even though this looks semi-corny, it is a different idea to incorporate the
Witches of
Salem into it, and imply they went to hell. At the time leading up to the
Salem Witch Trials, Wiccans were using magic to assist in growing and raising crops (as this is central to their beliefs) but in short, as
Pandemonium spread from fear of the Devil and a few odd instances, the witch trials commenced.
Ironically the Wiccan belief system values
Freedom of religion - and not harming others.
The
addition of The Lords of Salem adds to the collection of films which
discuss (The Salem Witch Trials) to an extent.
The trials are a source of never ending fascination by scholars and
movie goers alike.
This
movie should be a pretty good film, it is directed by the horror and Gore
master Rob Zombie himself. He is
notorious for his ability to interpret creepy images, plotlines, and Ideas, and
turn them into something tangible on the big screen for our nerve-wrecking
delight while we partake in being told the story of a new horror film through
director Zombie’s eyes.The
battle between good and Evil is a never ending story, but at least we have Rob
Zombie to tell it. His music is pretty
sweet, too.
Stay m/ METAL!
