Hello everybody! We are Omerta and we recently released our new song, new logo's and website's so a perfect time to promote the band!


BIOGRAPHY OF THE BAND.

The band Omerta hails from Bruges Belgium and was founded in 2004. Eight years later the band is still driven with the same fire and the new line-up invigorated that fire even more! We recently recorded a brand new song “Messenger of Hate” lifting the bands potential to a new level and showing the world we’re ready to take on stages with all guns blazing!
New shows are added as we speak and with the new songs and the urge to crush as many stages as we can, we are eager to become a force to be reckoned with in the Belgian underground scene and beyond.

Points of interest:
• In 2006 we played our first show with Embraced By Hatred and released our first song “Grey flower” Mixed and edited by Niek Tournois (Spoil Engine)
• In 2007 we released our first MCD "Blacken the days of man” Mixed and edited by Niek Tournois (Spoil Engine) and Mathias Hellebuyck.
• In 2008 we headlined the 2008 pre-Ieperfest show and we played the Wacken FINAL Battle.
• We shared the stage with: All Shall Perish, Carnifex, Whitechapel, Despised Icon and The Black Dahlia Murder.
• In 2011 we recorded “Messenger of hate” Mixed, edited and mastered by Niek Tournois (Spoil Engine)
• January 2012 started with the release of our new logo, the Omerta Sign and our brand new website.
• March 2012 marked the official release of “Messenger of hate” and start of the Omerta Kroegentocht concept.

NEWSFLASH
Time for Omerta 2.2

Tijs, Kenneth en Tiesten verlaten Omerta.

Tijs (Bass) verlegt zijn grenzen weer naar Canada, deze keer voor een langere periode en heeft daarom besloten definitief uit Omerta te stappen.
Hierbij hebben Kenneth en ik ook de kans gegrepen de kans om onze muzikale grenzen te verleggen.
8 Jaar na het oprichten van Omerta was de nood om aan andere projecten door te werken groter geworden.

Waarom nu? Omdat Omerta sterker staat dan het in de laatste 3 jaar gestaan heeft. Zo kunnen we met een gerust hart afscheid nemen van de band.
Beter nog: we weten dat we alles ook in goede handen kunnen overdragen.
Tijs wordt vervangen door Butt (Bjorn Vandewalle) een ferme kerel met een ferm bass-tallent en één van de gitaren wordt overgedragen aan niemand minder dan Lazar Zec, gitarist van Rafflesia.
Wie het rijtje af maakt zal in de toekomst blijken.

We zijn iedereen oneindig dankbaar voor de support, kansen, moshen, headbangen, pintjes, feesten,...
Vooral voor de vriendschappen en alle mooie herinneringen!!
But keep in mind: elk einde is een nieuw begin...

Wil je Omerta nog eens zien as you knew it, 7 juli, laatste show in Happy Days Brugge (samen met Eternal Rest)
Wij willen nog een laatste keer volledig gek gaan met zoveel mogelijk mensen erbij.

Yep it was quite a hard pill to swallow but there are no hard feelings at all and Tiesten and Kenneth will keep on supporting us behind the scenes ;)
