I've been looking for something new to appeal to me. Ill listen to anything. If anyone has a favorite band that I should check out post what it is or something that is really interesting or different. I know a lot of music so it might be hard to find things that I don't know/like. Blow my mind people

Have you heard of Borealis?  They are great Power Metal from Canada and awesome to listen to.

More great Power Metal is Pathfinder.  Someone actually introduced them to me yesterday on here and they Kick ass.  The person who introduced them to me said they are like DragonForce, but better.  And I completely agree haha.

If you are looking for something more simplistic with groovy riffs, I recommend Ektomorf.  It's great to listen to when you're angry

If you're looking for something more progressive, I recommend Myrath.  They add their own middle-eastern flair to their music, and works really well.

A band that's really out there is Melvins.  Some of the most different but coolest music I've ever heard

Another recommendation is Hangar.  More progressive/power, and still great.  Aquiles Priester is an Insane drummer.

For thrash, I recommend Demonica.  More of a darker style of thrash from Denmark.  Great thrash as well, and I don't think they are too well known.

More thrash would be Cross Examination.  More of a party thrash band, the vocals alone make their music is some of the most Insane stuff I have ever heard
(I know it's not the best quality, but his is one of my favorite songs haha)

I hope I've introduced you to some new music!

Yep.

Fun fact: the guitarist of Borealis taught my friend guitar.
