I can't stand thrash, I'm not a fan of Death Metal [though i do like the band Death ironically], and I don't like black metal. Killswitch Engage also bothers me. People like them better than All That Remains cuz they were first, but isn't ATR MUCH better?? I mean c'mon! That's like shutting Down all Power Metal because it's a 'copy of Iron Maiden'. Well, maybe so, but it's still good!

I can't get into doom because of its very slow speed nor I can get friends with nu-metal.
I'm in a class of twenty people. I'm the only metalhead and the others are all technofreaks. But some of the listen to Disturbed. When hey asked me if i likedthem, i had to say them that Disturbed is fckng posermetal and a Disgrace for real metalscene. Since then they ask me about metalbands they will see/hear if they go to mixed concerts ( Rock werchter, Pukkelpop: Belgians you guys know this)

I don't like the bands who give more attention to their image than to their music.
I don't care if the members of a band have long or short hair if they wear short or long trousers or if they call themselfs heavy-trashy-progressive-hardcore-black-extra terrestial metallers.
But i really care if the musicians play good -no matter if they play only three chords- if they respect their audience if somehow manage to reach this almost perfect balance between strength and good melody the method who already creates so many classic albums.

P.S.: Hey "heavy guys" there are not only the Extreme metal genres on this planet.
Did anyone of you heard realy loud songs like "Burn" for example?

Slayer, Tarja Turunen, the majority of Power Metal and underground, trve kvlt Black Metal (i actually will listen to Iron Maiden, but only as a last resort in the face of crappy Black Metal), The Sword, all the sound-alike Metalcore bands

and i'm still undecided about Led Zeppelin. does that count?
