I've always been meaning to listen to more classical, personally, but i've just never been able to really find the time to Dive into it. Same thing with jazz, though i'm very slowly getting into it.

Cosmic Hearse (the blog) has a lot of Random obscure jazz stuff, might wanna give that a look...personally I've never been one for jazz, I guess I can kinda see the appeal but it just doesn't work for me at all. I don't do "smooth" in music; I like spacey, Abrasive, or rockin'. A combination of the three is like heaven.

lolz, here's a shock for ya'll. As a death/black metal fan, I could never really get into old Cryptopsy at all. Lord Worm is a damn good vocalist, no doubt, but I just couldn't really get into it, Open Face Surgery and Phobophile are the only two songs I like by them.

How can somebody NOT like this? I mean, the vocals, the pure Black Metal with a slightly punk-ish feel, not in the music, but in the swag...later Gorgoroth is disposable at best, but their first few are dark as motherfuck.

Just my opinion. Blasphemy Made Flesh is amazing, NoNe So Vile was instrumentally great, but it didn't really click with me.

I never really looked into old Gorgoroth to be honest. That was great, but the vocals were meh.

i personally can't get into Megadeth or slayer. i mean i have all the respect in the world for them because of who they are and what they did for metal.
 
also can't get into Grindcore or anything that sounds like their gurgling mud such as disfiguring the goddess.

I can understand you not enjoying thrash, but DtG isn't grindcore. Real Grindcore is Agathocles, Napalm Death, and stuff like Carcass. If you haven't heard them yet, try them out
