hi everyone been a while since I came to the forum parts, don't know if I posted this topic in the right place, but im stuck in a conversation with another person on who is more technical, Mesh or Decap? My answer is pretty straight forward, Decapitated all the way. They have one of the most technical Death Metal skills and have had them since they were 14. Not to mention the amount of drumming/shredding Stamina they all have that comes with being able to play standard tech Death. To make sure I'm not an idiot though I want outsider opinions so im asking any of you guys

I'm not into Meshuggah but I know how they play their djent- style. Djent is in Fact based on a trick with Muted strings on an 8- string guitar. While this 'trick' requires alot of skill to pull of properly, it can be used and Abused for ever.

Decapitated has indeed the technical skills since very young age, yet the aren't the most technical band either. They did play in a style that has now been often copied and adapted. so I would pick Decapitated too as being the most technical but you can do alot of debate on this subject

yeah the other guy has alot of good points about Meshuggah that I can agree with, the time signatures they use in their songs are very complicated and would definitely take a good sit Down to try and understand. To me though ,I think it takes way more skill to Master up the great technical riffs that go into Death Metal songs, I mean tech Death has evolved alot since those days but even then it was still one of the most awesomely skilled metal genres(you know besides like the neo classical type metal ).
