How is Linkin Park metal?

or Korn.
 
Mabye I'm just being overreactive. But last time I checked. Those bands weren't metal. They don't even come close to metal. They are more hard rock if anything.
 
I mean I know there's nu-metal and neo-metal, but those aren't really metal genre's......

Nu / Neo-metal, are metal !! & they're different from other genres(symphonic,gothic,black,...) as these are different from them.

By my opinion, they have never been metal, but only cheap MTV creation for frustrated kids who wants to annoy their parents, nothing more, they don't have spirit of metal in their music hahaha

Just a heavier version of Hard Rock, but some bands can be classified as metal.
perhaps it is its own musical genre
for me it's a sub-genre of metal
 
but Linkin Park is more like Alternative Rock and POD is like Rap/Rock

Nu Metal and  neo metal are no metal at all , those genres made just for teenagers , their lyrics are not close to metal like heavy , thrash and Power Metal , and their music (yak) they dont know how to compose a song

I gave up on keeping up with genres of music. Anymore, it's confusing, well to me anyway, I don't know about anyone else. If I like it, I like it, if I don't I don't. Personally, I feel the genre label is useless.

I think it's the same as Rap Rock, just with a different name.
It's just such a pathetic idea to mix rap music with rock music. Bands like Linkin Park, Limp Bizshit etc suck.
