Post Blizzard Beasts Immortal is Far and away your best bet here.  Their entire disco is absolutely stellar.  As much as this pains me to say, I'd even venture to rec. Dimmu here, not as bm, but as Extreme symphonic metal.

Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk is my all time favorite album and it features extensive symphonic backing, Ihsahn's godlike vocals, and a level of technicality that has yet to be bested in black metal.

Nemesis Divina is another surefire album.  Satyr is simply amazing in his growls and poetic lyrics and the instrumentation is very precise without sacrificing emotion.  Another one of my favorite albums.  Listen to Du Som Hater Gud, Immortality Passion, and of course, Mother North.

These are all pretty obvious, but I find that the best way to get into a genre is to listen to the most famous/accessible pieces and then work your way underground.  If you're scouring "the depths of youtube hell" and listening to Vlad Tepes and Mutilation, you're approaching the genre wrong.  Start polished and work your way to the grit.
