In a war the logic disappeares and instict takes its place.Its the mind's self defence.I dont think that any of the soldiers in whatever side they are like to Kill people.They have the propaganda and the orders from their side and the Danger of being killed by the other side.No i dont think its their fault.The politicians are those fuckers that order the wars just to get rich and they will be sleeping well at night cause they have never seen Blood or death except in their tvs.

i don't disagree with what you are saying i just believe the soldiers share a part of the responsibility in these cases because it's not that they were ordered to torture and toment the people, they were just ordered to take over a city let's say and in some cases they are ordered to Kill everyone.the fact that they give excruting Pain to their victims before they Kill them is what makes me wonder how they can Live with themselves...
i know that this does not apply for every soldier who has experienced war, but in most cases i guess this is what happens.
