Floridian
Blackened Metal band
Faethom officially released their debut concept album “In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Unholy” on
November 1st, 2011. After many years of grueling work and obsessive dedication, David Diacrono (guitarist) and Mariela Muerte (lead singer/keyboardist), co-founders and composers, deliver to the masses a Metal tale of terror in the form of a 16 track album.
The story develops around an eccentric hermit named Victor Garcia, who receives a letter from the Mother
Superior Beatriz Cruz, the foreboding
Head nun of a nearby
Convent, in which his assistance is requested for the reconstruction of some areas of the convent.
As Victor commences this endeavor, he is
Witness to a horrific
Desecration of a
young nun named Ophelia by Ezrahmael, an arrogant
Demon who was expelled from
Hell by Satan. From this terrible
ACT, chaos, madness, and death ensues and
only suffering befalls the cast of characters in this musical tale. The concept is based on a story written by Mariela and the music, composed by David and Mariela, presents elements of Death and
Black Metal with a classic
Heavy Metal sound throughout. The band has been releasing, through their website and social networks, pictures of the characters that make up their tale in preparation for the release as seen below.
The band has been playing extensively throughout Florida and will be hosting a
CD Release show at Club Eve in Downtown Miami on
November 12th, 2011 along with many great
Extreme Metal bands from the South Florida Area.
For the live experience, the band lineup includes the talents of Argentinean bassist Federico Vidal, Colombian drummer Hermes Reyes, and most recently added, Chilean guitarist Fabian Lopez.
“In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Unholy” is now available through the band’s website (
