---- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ---- On the most recent episode of
The Great Black North - Canadian Metal Radio Program, Montreal's up-and-coming technical death outfit
Derelict chose to debut an exclusive, previously-unreleased track, the first glimpse into the band's upcoming second release.
"We have this song, its called
Perpetuation.
It may end up the title track of the record." states singer Eric
Burnet, while being interviewed on the program. "It's a song about the
human race, and how it will only continue on living if we
Decide that it
will."
"We're writing a lot of stuff with political messages,
just like the last album," Eric continues. He goes on to describe how
the band has an nearly an entire album written, with plans to release it
by mid-2011. The album's prospective title track made it's on-air debut
following the interview, and while the band intends to upload the song
for streaming in the coming weeks, for the moment the podcast is the
only location in which it can be heard.
The entire episode, including the interview both Eric and lead guitarist Max Lussier can be downloaded at this
location. It can also be streamed from
The Great Black North's Podomatic page.
In addition to the new interview and music, the episode also features a phone-in chat with Alex Leblanc of
Neuraxis, and music from their latest album
