Demigod - Slumber Of Sullen Eyes

One of my favourite Death Metal records of all time. Fantastic riffs and incredibly well constructed songs. (I think the finnish penchant for flowing song Structures really shines on this record) I've always loved its dark, obscured atmosphere as well... really gives the album that dark, foreboding vibe.

Regarding Vader, my favourite is De Profundis right now, but Litany is formidable as hell. There's a Ton of releases from the band I sorely need, especially Black to the Blind and Reborn in Chaos, plus some of the various EPs. And the new album, of course.

I've been listening to more thrash and traditional metal lately, but i'll go with...

Deicide - Legion (will edit in the pic later)

With Vader it's hard to go wrong. Some may argue that The Beast or Necropolis are rather bad but it's only in light of Vader's discography. I do enjoy playing them once in a while.

Loudpipes, if you were to pick one before another I'd go with Reborn In Chaos, the demo sound and the covers are just too damn good, and since you're more into "Thrash" lately, you sure could appreciate it even more!

i'm currently listening to some Jungle Rot, Nekrogoblikon, Abominable Putridity, also listening to some Autopsy, but not much. I Wish someone had told me about Jungle Rot earlier, i found out from them from a *shutters* scene kid's shirt.

Strange.

I've been listening to this lately.

The production is fantastic. This reminds me of Voivod with Death Metal thrown in. A fantastic album with very interesting lyrics. The sound of this album is way ahead of it's time (being released in 1994, this sounds like it was made today).

cool, i'll have a go at it lol. 1994 was a great year. i mean hell... i was Born and Cobain died (no disrespect to Nirvana fans, i Hate the band. per-cursor to modern emo music IMHO). other than that... yeah good year

Jungle Rot rules, i dunno how Far into their discography you've delved into yet, but check out What Horrors Await and War Zone. probly the 2 best Jungle Rot albums. I Saw em live back in july, they were fuckin great, hard to pick a favorite band from all 3 days at CIM, but they were definitely within top 5 bands there.
