Black Sky formed in Cape Town, South Africa, in April 2009. The band
performs a style that draws influence from throughout the Extreme metal
spectrum, occasionally utilizing progressive, classical, atmospheric,
and acoustic elements, while keeping a balance between skilled
musicianship, catchy melodies and hard-hitting “blackened metal”.

The
ACT first assembled with guitarists Gideon Lamprecht, Kean Malcolmson
and bassist Stephen Spinas as the Core members; the lineup was
strengthened with the introduction of Ryan Higgo on vocals, and Lawrence
Jaeger taking up the seat behind the drums.

The debut album, 'Pantheion', was recorded during 2010, and was officially released on 18 December 2010.

Plans for 2011 include a music video, and the work on the second album has already begun.
