yeah,i understand what you mean,that after thulchandra,transilvanian hunger,grave with a view and etc. new songs maybe really suck...   but i like them too,not like The Old Ones,but....    if comparing to old ones,they suck,if comparing to other black bands,they are better than 80% ... don't know,it's my opinion...

speakin of Darkthrone... have you heard of fenriz's side project band called Fenriz' Red Planet? half of the songs on their Engangsgrill EP have a Doom Metal feel to em, but the songs that Nattefrost (of Carpathian Forest and Nattefrost) does guest vocals on sounds like pure old school Darkthrone
