It would be a better album if they put the symphonic stuff lower in the production. It leaked two weeks ago so I've already listened to it. It's decent.

As Enig said, my #1 for 2011 is already decided. Exist by Infestus has surpassed anything else I've heard this year, even the duo of Deconstruction and Ghost by Devin Townsend. The album's atmosphere reminds me of Shining or Bethlehem; even though the album has a depressive feel to it, it still kicks your face in. Their previous album had the same sort of atmosphere, but it lacked emotion. This album though is Dripping with emotion. If you like melodic Black Metal or depressive Black Metal (or both), I recommend you check this album out.

i've been really bored today so i decided to listen to a few tracks off the new Decapitated album... my GOD this is fucking awful. it sounds more like Cavalera Conspiracy or Soulfly than it does Technical Death metal. someone oughta change their genre to Groove/Nu Metal since that's basically what the new album is. it's up there with Morbid Angel on the 2011 shitlist for me.

Hear Pestilence's Doctrine yet? It's in my Top 5 worst albums of the year. It's like Illud Divinum Insanus without the faux-industrial crap. Even though that is taken out, it still sucks.

damn, seriously? Sounds like they decided to go back to their Spheres-era sound. That really sucks considering Ressurrection Macabre was a Killer comeback album.

No, not like Spheres. You have to hear it to believe it.

The UK’s premier Extreme metal antagonists Cradle Of Filth will release their new mini-album, entitled ‘Evermore Darkly…’ on Peaceville Records, October 10th 2011. A follow-on from last year’s triumphant ‘Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa’ album, ‘Evermore Darkly’ will arrive as a CD/DVD package including new tracks & rarities, with a lengthy on-the-road documentary and Ten songs filmed live at this year's Graspop metal meet, as well as the video for 'Lilith Immaculate'.

The CD features brand new musical Beast ‘Thank Your Lucky Stars’, plus a special remix of ‘Forgive Me Father’, courtesy of Rob C from Anthrax, an extended rendition of ‘Lilith Immaculate', as well as tempered demo versions of three ‘Darkly, Darkly…’ songs. The mini-album closes with a special taster from Cradle of Filth’s impending orchestral project, in the form of a haunting, classic reworking of fan-favourite, ‘Summer Dying Fast’.

The ‘Evermore Darkly’ DVD contains footage from Summer 2011, when Cradle Of Filth embarked on a rapid spat of tours, accompanied by Two eager filmmakers. The resulting documentary, 'You Can't Polish A Turd, But You Can Roll It In Glitter', combined with performance and interview footage culminates in a forty five minute film of the not so glamorous reality of life in a touring band at work and play, as they trawl their way across Europe over Eight performances. The DVD includes an interview with ghoul-guide Dani Filth, interspersed and peppered with live footage and backstage shenanigans, culminating in the entire hour long set from this year's highly anticipated Graspop festival appearance.

Dani states that it is 'a much-loved musical stop-gap between albums, a pleasure treasure trove of wild and wicked wonders primed especially for fans. Something for them to sink their teeth into this Autumn as the Cradle invasion fleet is primed for future contagion….'

^ ooh, that one looks tasty.

Also there's a Skull Fist full-length coming out real soon, as well as a new Esoteric, Insomnium and Absu. All of them should slay, if they maintain the quality material the bands have previously put out.

News to me.

This is coming out the same day as Skyrim. I'll be blasting that album while killing goblins, fuck yeah.
