But that's basically what I'm saying, I'm just saying that society presents a certain set of moral codes that many of us subconsciously accept. Admittedly I was speaking on a different level to simple things like listening to certain music etc., although I suppose a lot of that comes from society's representations as well, as well as our own intellect and our own emotional nature.

I will agree with what you're saying though, it's when we break our own moral codes that we've truly lost our sense of self and have crossed the metaphorical line.

I've asked that question about satanism because there are two types: the "tradicional" one, when the followers actually believe in a entity called Satan, and the satanism founded by LaVey, where Satan is not an entity, but the symbol of man's inherent nature (you know, a little like buddhism - buddha is not a GOD at all). The first one is kind of silly for me, but I find the second one pretty interesting.
