Lyrics

1. OVERHEARING

Far away, in the deep dark black forest
Every day, a poor man would count the rest of his money

He had two children, named hansel and gretel
Together less then twenty years of age
They had to live with the taste of starvation
And fearing their step mothers rage

All it takes, to stay alive today
Send both the children away

Go, right now
Is all that she would say
Go, right now
Before it's to late

When he said, he could never do it
She would be looking away

2. THE LAST CLANCE

Do you remember how we played here when we were younger
When our mother was still alive, oh the joy and happiness Was ours

Why did it all go wrong,is anyone to blame,
If anyone is it us?
Oh god it's a crying shame

When things didn't turn out the way stepmother planned
She devised a plan for the children to be banned

The woman that married our father, wasn't quite the same
Poor father her willpower was much stronger

Looking back at the house they both felt a chill right Down to the bone
From what they had both overheard the other night, they Now knew

3. LEFT IN THE FOREST

Disappointment would soon be their's
Because their most beloved parent
Was about to leave them in despair!

The forest of yesterday
Now was changed into a place of fear
The silence that ruled the night
Had to yield because if gretel's tears

Moments of what used to be
Appeared before their eyes
Soon they could see, those forgotten years

Follow the stream down the forests below
Where silence will prepare for the future to show
The end of a journey will son be there
For this will be the ending of your crying in despair

Their dreams would soon expire
Into whispering reality
Their father had let them be
In front of this deceitfull fire

4. DESPERATE MISERY

The night would soon be falling
Here they were, lonely hungry and cold

The forest once enchanted
Now chilling, gloomy and dark
Danger seemed to be lurking

The shadows were playing around them
They made sure they kept close together
The hunger became almost unbearable
Finding food was now impossible

Killing time, wondering why
Living life in desperate misery
At least they had one another to share their grieve
Staying alive in desperate misery

Would they ever return from this horable place
Oh this unjust that has come their way

5. THE RETURNING

Finally they've left the horror behind
Where once was darkness there now was light
With Hansel unlocked, and freed of fright
The feeling the freedom enlightend the mind

Even if it seems to be turning
Beware of what you yearn for
For it won't always make you glad

Hey, little dragon swim to land
Two lost children here we stand
Hey, Little dragon, for pity's sake
Carry us across the lake!

Finding their way back there were rivers to cross
A huge mass of water, a dangerous lake
There was movement in the water, was it heaven sent?
