Lichter vergangner Zeiten,
Wie Grüsse winken sie funkelnd,
In diesen unendlichen Weiten,
Ergreifend entfaltet sich stilles Mahnen,
Flüstert fast verklungne Namen,
Dass da waren einst die Alten,
Deren Augen strahlen, wie funkelnde Sterne,
Und schimmert auch nur aus der Ferne,
Das ersehnte Auferstehen,
So hält die Sternennacht stille Wacht.

Begegnen sich in ihre verwandte Seelen,
Vom Schnuppenschweif tief getroffen,
Dann erscheint ein neuer Stern
Und lässt die einsamen Erben wieder hoffen.
