STONE AXE - http://www.stoneaxeband.com/

Remember when guitar solos mattered? Stone Axe does.

Born in 2007 in Port Orchard, Washington, at the hands of multi-instrumentalist T. Dallas Reed, whose prior outfit Mos Generator was beginning to follow a direction that no longer fit the band, as soon as there was a Stone Axe, there was a purpose, a reason for its being. Seventies rock preservation. Stone Axe was made and continues to flourish solely to honor the forefathers of true heavy rock and roll.

Think of Free, think of Thin Lizzy, the glory days of the power trio. The earliest days of Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Foghat and AC/DC. Reed brings not only these sounds, but the spirit that birthed them, to life with vibrancy that, quite frankly, makes the current crop of “retro” acts with goofy hair and tight pants look silly.

CULTURA TRES - https://www.facebook.com/culturatres

Now hailed as the national rock/sludge pride of Venezuela, Cultura Tres came from far. With the first EP "Seis" (2007) the band already outgrew the South American continent. But only after releasing debut album "La Cura" in October 2008, the band started to get noticed worldwide. During the preceding year of rigorous composing, Cultura Tres incorporated many influences into their sound, ranging from sludge to doom metal and from death metal to classic rock.

"A dark sound with great diversity: sludge, doom, and occasionally touches of post-metal, dark psychedelia and even folk music." Doommantia (USA) – 9/10

STUBB - https://www.facebook.com/Stubbrock

Stubb were formed in 2006 over a mutual love of jamming warm fuzzy psych rock.

Loud, psychedelic, heavy; this trio take rock back to its roots and play with feeling. The original line up of Jack Dickinson (Vocals and guitar), Aaron O'Sullovan (Drums) and Isabella (bass) recorded the Dropout Sessions ep with Tim Cedar of Part Chimp at the controls in 2007. In 2009 a new Stubb lineup came together, this time the drums are handled by Chris West and the bass by Pete Holland both also in the band Trippy Wicked. Stubb have played with the likes of Firebird, Gentlemans Pistols, Ramesses, Litmus, Sun Gods In Exile, Grifter, Danava, Stone Axe, Lecherous Gaze, Crumbling Ghost, Alunah and many more.

An album was recorded in December 2010 once again with Tim Cedar at Dropout studio and the band completed a tour of the UK and Europe with the USA band Stone Axe in April 2011. The album has been mixed and mastered by Tony Reed (Stone Axe, Mos Generator) who has recently recorded the new St.Vitus album. It will be released in February 2012.

TRIPPY WICKED & THE COSMIC CHILDREN OF THE KNIGHT - https://www.facebook.com/trippywicked

A rolling, thundering mass of infectious riffs, distorted gut-busting bass, tripped out vocals, relentless beats and hairy sweaty faces twisted with grins and gurns. Trippy Wicked & the Cosmic Children of the Knight cut a groove deeper than the ocean abyss. Movin On released 30th October 2009, is the debut album by DIY stoner sleaze rock trio Trippy Wicked & the Cosmic Children of the Knight.
"The knight who fathered these cosmological kids is certainly guilty of sowing wild oats…Trippy Wicked are a bearded ensemble of natural musicians who gush out unadulterated and gradually inflating, sleazy riffs under a blanket of depraved lyrical themes. They deliver virile material, which is naked in humour, stiff in groove and full of spunk. By spraying guitars with quivering modulation effects and perverting vocals with pulsating delays, they positively abuse a seminal blues riff formula and conceive down tempo numbers which are balls deep and pounding from the first treble clef onwards and yet still manage to surge with momentum and climax with orgasmic crescendo. Guitars are penetrating, drum skins throb, bass is long and slow and vocals wake the neighbors! Dip in the occasional horn and this is a curious, experimental, rocking, gangbang of dirty Blues Metal."

ALUNAH - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alunah/284277484074

Alunah merge elements of stoner, doom & psychedelic grooves with pagan and occult inspired lyrics and female vocals, they hail from the English Midlands and have spent the last five ears relentlessly touring and gigging with artists such as Paradise Lost, Trouble, Fu Manchu, Firebird, Roadsaw, Witchcraft, Graveyard, Orange Goblin, Doomraiser, Lord Vicar and Nebula. After their "Fall to Earth" release and "Song of the Sun" vinyl split release with Hong Kong's Queen Elephantine, Alunah unveiled their debut album "Call of Avernus" through Catacomb Records in 2010.

Alunah signed with Psychedoomelic Records in 2011; an Austrian label dedicated to doom metal (Ramesses, Pale Divine, Penance, Orodruin, Voodoo Shock, Wall of Sleep) who will release their second album number in 2012. The band also signed with Seattle based Doom Metal Alliance Records who will re-release "Call of Avernus" on vinyl later in 2011.

Alunah consists of Sophie Willett, Dave Day, Gaz Imber and Jake Mason

BANDA DE LA MUERTE - https://www.facebook.com/bandadelamuerte

"Along with fellow Sludge merchants Cultura Tres, Banda de la Muerte have put a stranglehold on the South American Sludge metal scene. Playing each note with wreckless abandon, the band tears it up with it's Latin flair and pushes the boundaries of metal. Stoner rock grooves seep through the harrowing fist of doom as hardcore punk attitude uppercuts you in the jaw. Even though the music is aggressive, there is quite a bit of melody that shines through. Banda de la Muerte is one of those bands that will require multiple listens to fully realize their potential, maybe it is the language barrier thing, who knows? All that I know is that Banda de la Muerte is ready to embed their bootprint of Sludge into your skull. Are you ready?!"
