Not much of a fan of just plain doom... but I love Sludge and Drone metal. Sunn O))), The Ocean and the Doom Metal albums by Senmuth (it mixes doom with folk and orchestral elements, so it isn't plain doom).

I'm not all that experienced with those genres, although I've heard Sunn O))) and liked them, but I really really like Empyrium... although their later stuff is folk.

Also, I strongly recommend this really short demo by a long-lost band called Eternal Darkness:

It has the same cover art For All Tid has, but it was released two years before For All Tid was.

I've heard Empyrium and they are good. Metal and folk are both amazing. I have not heard this demo though, I'll give it a listen.

EDIT: This is amazing death/doom you have recommended. Thank you. Also, if you want to try out Sludge, listen to the album Precambrian by The Ocean (primarily, Rhyacian: Untimely Meditations).
