Hexa Mera from Belgium is a young, talented band who now with 'Enlightenment' deliver their second full album. It has turned out to be a prime example of melodic Death Metal, which places Belgium firmly on the map. Musically everything sounds like a house, performed by band members who know their instruments and know how to strike the right chord. The powerful voice of Yannick Schmitt takes the lead in the songs, the nice riffs and melodic solos by Mr Vergaelen and Huygens lift the songs to a higher level. The basis of bassist and drummer Van Roy Baudez provides the necessary groove, making sure this album keeps you tightly in its grip. In short, an album that every lover of good melodic Death Metal should own, with the added bonus that the band invited 13, yes 13 vocalists to sing on the song 'Enlightenment'.
