Romania is a wonderful country with really nice nature, a lot of history and home of probably the oldest Ancient civilizations. Pity for its (mostly) incult, ignorant and uncivilized inhabitants...

I currently live in Bucharest. It is a big city-and I mean it takes a lot of time to get anywhere!, crowded, with a mish-mash of beautiful old buildings, modern architecture and ugly communist style apartment buildings.
Some neighbourhoods are nice with a lot of interesting things to see - like the Lipscani(old city centre) and the parks Herastrau, Cismigiu  ; other look deplorable and have rather Nasty people, most of them from a minority I would not mention.

But the best thing about Bucharest is it's clubs, pubs, parks, expositions, concerts, opera, theatres, cinemas - basically, you just think of what would you like to do in the weekend and choose a place If you like going out of the house, then it is pretty hard to get bored. It was this diversity that made me choose to move from my hometown (Suceava, Bucovina) to study there.

However, I must mention that home is where my Heart is and that Bucovina is the land with the most beautiful scenery in the world to me! :P

Bucharest seems pretty interesting from the way you describe. With all the mix between modern and Ancient arquitecture, reminds me of my own city, noisy and crowded, the way I love!

I can't see the pictures you posted though. Is it my problem?

A warm welcome to SoM, Raina!

Wow, as I see, everyone's city/town has something to offer

I live in Zlín, a small town in the Czech Republic which is quite modern so honestly, there's no Ancient or at least historical place or building.
Most of the houcec are from 30's to 70's and since this town was artificially made for workers of shoe company Baťa (maybe someone could know it) to live in, almost everything is rectangular and pretty all the same.
But what I really love here is that there's quite a decent amount of metal concerts and fests here. but except of this, there are few clubs that aren't that good and moct of the cafés close ad nine... so in the evening there's nowhere to go.

And here's a panorama from the highest building of the town:

I live in a very old City called, Canterbury, in the South East of England.

Canterbury is famous for it's Cathedral and the murder of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Becket in 1170.

The murder at Canterbury Cathedral in 1170 led to the Cathedral becoming a place of pilgrimage for Christians worldwide. This pilgrimage provided the theme for Geoffrey Chaucer's 14th-century literary classic the Canterbury Tales.

During World War II 115 people were killed by German bombs. The worst raid was
in 1942. During it 48 people were killed and part of the town centre
was destroyed.

Today the population of Canterbury is 36,000.

well...

I live in a country that has approximately 0.5 people per square km as an average density.

I live in Cairns Australia which is in the Far North Queensland

The Great Barrier Reef is just off the coast from my town
and this green island

This is a photo of my school

Its only 1 story and rather it being 1 Giant buliding its a whole bunch of separate buildings joined together by paths. Also each building has a separate subject (eg maths, science, english, ect) Also, no lockers

Also, from what Ive heard. Many people think Australia is just barron dessert like on Crocodile Dundee

Thats absolutely wrong and that my home town 0

Also out of the whole town, only 2 places sell metal CDs and 1 place sells band t-shirts.
