So I was looking at this I guide for a 6700k overclock to do my 6600k, in addition to reading other discussions online about idea speeds and all that. I got my chip to 4.5ghz and ran stress tests for 4 hours with no problems. I went back into the bios to change the voltage into the "adaptive" mode as recommended, but staring at CPU-Z, I don't see any voltage changes. CPU-Z also says the voltage is at 1.456v, which I know is very high. Is adaptive mode working and I just don't know it, or is there some other setting or way to set the voltage that would be better? I don't wanna burn this thing out.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
