Fathom Fidelity’s origins started when I began recording high school bands in 1994 on 4-track tape machines. In 1996, ADATs were purchased and the name Rock Alive Studios was adopted. By 2002, the 24-track ADAT system was sold and a hard disk based system purchased. During this period, the business plan was reworked to better suit the times and the name was changed to Fathom Fidelity. The summer of 2003 saw the move to ProTools, which is the present platform employed.
