Le groupe finlandais Amoral a annoncé sa séparation sur Facebook. Voici le texte intégral :
AMORAL CALLS IT A DAY
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that we've decided to disband Amoral. This was not an easy desicion, as this band has been such a huge part of our lives (in the case of Ben and Juhana, for about 19 years!), but yet it felt like it was time. Constantly conflicting schedules and a fading interest in touring in some members have made the band run at half-speed. Amoral is not a ”half-speed” band. It's all or nothing. And, to be honest, the idea of starting something brand new after all this time has become very appealing.
Last December we sat down to discuss this, and decided to go on for one more year, until the beginning of 2017. After all, we still had our 7th album ”In Sequence”, to put out and promote. We wanted to give the album the attention it deserved, but also to play together for a while longer. There are no hard feelings here. No ”musical differences”. This is simply about different people wanting different things at this point of their lives.
But we still have a couple of very cool things to come. First of all, this autumn we'll be kicking it old school with a few shows in Finland as a five-piece, with Niko on vocals, playing material from the first three, ”Niko-era” Amoral albums only! This is gonna be a real blast from the past: no keyboards. No clean vocals. Only tight, angry techno thrash like it's 2007 all over again! This is gonna be a lot of fun, and something that hasn't been seen or heard in a LONG while.
And once the year is up, it's time to end this journey with a big party. Amoral's final show will take place at Tavastia, Helsinki on January 5th 2017. This event is not to be missed: we'll be covering our entire discography, and have our ex-members joining us onstage one last time. For sure this will be one bittersweet night to remember.
We want to thank our family, friends and fans for the support throughout the years. Especially the amazing Amoral Street Team, who have tirelessly helped the band along the way with their hard work. Thank you!
It's been quite the ride. Seven studio albums, hundreds of shows all around the world, and so many good memories. We wouldn't trade it for anything.

Jamais entendu parlé..
Vus en 2014 en première partie de DT au Trabendo. Le groupe se cherchait clairement.
Quel malheur, c'est Sonadenn qui va être déçu!:
Ah ben carrément oui!
Pour ceux qui ignorent qui est le groupe, c'est un peu normal. Le groupe n'avait pas encore vraiment "percé" en France. Il fait cependant partie des groupes "connus" en Finlande (pour y avoir été, je peux vous assurer que les metalleux là-bas, connaissent)
Bon, au départ, c'est plutôt un groupe de Death Mélodique, avec un guitariste assez technique, Ben Varon, le pilier du groupe et compositeur principal. Ils ont fait trois albums comme ça ("Wound Creations", "Decrowning" et "Reptile Ride". Et puis, avec le départ du chanteur Niko Kalliojärvi, le groupe s'est mué en un truc assez bizarre. Toujours aussi technique au niveau de la guitare, mais aux rythmes moins endiablés, plus contemplatif, et avec un chanteur clair, issu du télécrochet Finnish Idols (l'équivalent de notre "Nouvelle Star"), Ari Koivunen.
Le petit Ari avait gagné le jeu, notamment en reprenant "Still Loving You" de Scorpions ou "Fullmoon" de Sonata Arctica, malgré les reproches du jury qui lui reprochait de toujours faire du Hard-Rock ou du Metal. Le petit Ari s'est foutait : le public était avec lui. Auréolé de sa victoire, et avant d'entrer dans Amoral, il avait sorti un album solo, "Fuel For The Fire", qui s'était très bien vendu (12 semaines à la tête des ventes finnoise, 60 000 copies vendues et double disque de platine à l'horizon Octobre 2007). Il en sort un autre "Becoming" en 2008. Puis rentre dans Amoral.
Ensuite avec le groupe "Show Your Colors", "Beneath" (mon préféré, personnellement), "Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows" (aux compositions moins joyeuses et plus progressives, celui-là). Et le retour de Niko Kalliojärvi pour "In Sequence" donna naissance à un Amoral à deux chanteurs. Niko s'occupant des parties growls (Si Ari avait pu en faire sur "Beneath" ou sur "Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows", on ne peut pas dire que c'était très impressionnant, celui-ci voulant sûrement garder sa voix pour monter haut dans les aigus). Comme dit Sonadenn, c'est dommage. J'attendais beaucoup de cette nouvelle formule. Les finlandais nous ont déjà enlevés Norther. Maintenant Amoral... C'est pénible.

@Witchfucker : Aha, la petite pique marrante que j'attendais : bah, je ne t'en veux pas. Après mon coup de gueule de la dernière fois, c'est normal. Non, ce n'est pas du Grindcore. ;)
C'est plutôt "Death Mélodique" pour les premiers albums, et pour l'après "Show Your Colors", je ne me risquerai pas à essayer de le classer. C'est technique à la guitare, à chant aigu et clair, assez contemplatif et triste par moments. Les morceaux sont plus longs et progressifs à partir de "Fallen Leaves And Dead Sparrows". "Power Metal progressif", ça marche bien musicalement. Bon, ça manque d'épicness dans les refrains, de créatures légendaires et de surnaturel dans les paroles, mais, après tout, les premiers Sonata Arctica aussi, et on les classe quand même en
