Combat (ex-Napalm), U.S. veterans of thrash Metal, have released retrospective double CD compilation “Napalm Sticks To Everything” via HTH Productions.
The band was formed in 1985 by The Rossbach brothers who teamed up with Chris “The Monarch” Weidner and after Two demos (“Let The Battle Begin” and “Mind Melt”, both – 1985) they signed a deal with Combat Records. The label didn’t want a band called Combat so the changed the name to Napalm. “The next thing we knew our $200 demo became the “Napalm” EP (1986) – explains the drummer Rex “Deadfoot” Rossbach. – More than 1000 copies were sold and Combat Records Wanted us in the studio immediately to do a full-length album. This caused a rift and Monarch went on to do the next album without us”. With the new line-up Napalm released Two solid records “Cruel Tranquility” (1989) and “Zero To Black” (1990) before the band split.
In 2000 the Rossbach brothers brought Combat back and put out Two albums (“Ruination”, 2007, and “Age Of Discord”, 2011). And now the band HAS Unleashed extensive collection of their early, rare and previously unreleased stuff, including demos (both from the 80’s and 2000’s) and live show from legendary venue “C.B.G.B.” which took place in 1986.
