Barren Earth a décidé de se séparer de son chanteur, Mikko Kotamäki.
Dear friends. We regret to announce the Departure of Mikko Kotamäki from Barren Earth.
Due to conflicting schedules, Mikko cannot contribute to Barren Earth's activities any longer. The decision was made by mutual agreement with absolutely no drama involved.
We will keep working on new material, and will launch search for a new vocalist shortly.

Arh! C'est bien dommage.... Il faisait un boulot vraiment original et rafraîchissant
Ce groupe restera une énigme pour moi.. Autant sur album j'adhère à la musique comme a la voix du chanteur, autant en live, c'est le concert ou je me suis le plus mortellement ennuyer et ou j'ai eu des envies de meurtre sur.. le chanteur
Quand ça veut pas.
Pourtant le groupe donnait l'air de travailler en parfaite synergie... Dommage, surtout après le succès rencontré par the devil's resolve.
Euh c'est "conflits d'emploi du temps" pas conflits tout court hein ! A mon avis, ça doit être juste qu'il est trop occupé avec Swallow the Sun... Dommage, il était vraiment bon dans ce groupe !
J'espère qu'ils trouveront un remplaçant à la hauteur !
